InPhox checks that every part of an iPhone or iPad works: screen,
cameras, speakers and microphones, sensors, buttons, battery and
charging, and wireless radios. This page covers common questions. For

Getting Started
Full Diagnostic runs every test that applies to your device, one after another, then gives an A–F grade with a result for each test.
Single Test runs one test on its own, grouped by Screen, Audio, Hardware, Sensor, and Connect.
No account or sign-in is needed. Past sessions are saved on your device under History.
If you decline a permission, only the test that needs it fails or is skipped. You can change permissions in the iOS Settings app under InPhox.

Tests That Need Specific Hardware
Some tests only appear on devices that have the matching hardware.
On other devices they are marked as unavailable. This is expected.
TrueDepth (Single Test → Hardware → LiDAR Scanner, “TrueDepth Face”): devices with Face ID, such as iPhone X and later (not iPhone SE) and iPad Pro 2018 and later. iPad Air and iPad mini don't have a TrueDepth camera.
LiDAR (same screen): iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro models, and iPad Pro 2020 and later.
NFC: iPhone only. Hold the top of the iPhone near any standard NFC tag or card.
Pairing is for repair and resale businesses that use the InPhox intake system. You only need it if a business gives you a pairing QR code or six-character code.
Open Pair with Intake and scan the QR code, or type the code. Each code works for one session.
“Network error while pairing” or a certificate error: some Wi-Fi networks (workplaces, schools, hotels, or networks with content filters) block secure connections. Switch to cellular data or another network and try again.
“Invalid or expired code”: ask the business for a new code.

Privacy and Your Data
Test results stay on your device unless a session is paired with a
business. The full details of what the app reads, stores, and shares
are in the InPhox Privacy Policy.
To delete a session, open History and delete it, or delete the app to remove everything.
To ask for results to be deleted from the intake service, or for a device history report to be corrected or removed, email the address above.
